Know the morning your FMCSA record changes.
Give FileFlo a USDOT number and an email. FileFlo reads the public FMCSA record every morning and emails you when something on it changes, with what it means for an audit or the next inspection and what to do now.

What FileFlo watches on the record

An authority status change
Common, contract or broker authority going active or inactive, and the record showing the carrier allowed or not allowed to operate, with the reason FMCSA recorded.
49 CFR 392.9a
The MCS-150 update coming due
Thirty days before the biennial update is due, from the schedule set by the last two digits of the USDOT number.

A safety rating change
A new rating on the record, and what a proposed Unsatisfactory or a Conditional rating means for the next 45 or 60 days.
49 CFR 385.11, 385.13
For a new entrant, the safety audit window
The month the audit window opens, counted from the registration date on the FMCSA census.
49 CFR 385.307
Hear it from the record, not from a letter
Carriers often learn about an inspection, an insurance cancellation or a due MCS-150 late, and the letters and emails that impersonate FMCSA lean on exactly those moments. A FileFlo alert states only what the public record shows, names the rule behind it, and says plainly that FileFlo is not the DOT.
Each alert carries one link: the finding sheet for your USDOT number, which lists what an auditor asks for after a change like that one.
Questions
- What does it cost?
- Nothing. The alerts are free, for any USDOT number, and there is no account to make.
- Is FileFlo the DOT?
- No. FileFlo is a private company that reads the public FMCSA record and sends these alerts free. Every alert says so, and gives the way to check any notice yourself at safer.fmcsa.dot.gov.
- How often will I hear from FileFlo?
- Only when something on the record changes, and at most one email a day. Each one says what changed, what it means for an audit or the next inspection, and what to do now.
- Where does the data come from?
- FMCSA's public files: the roadside inspection file, the company census, the carrier record behind SAFER, and the licensing and insurance files. Nothing is guessed: a fact the record does not show is never stated.
- How do I stop the alerts?
- Every alert ends with an unsubscribe link that works in one click. After it, FileFlo does not email the address again.
